Internet History Sourcebooks Project
Desiderata
People contact me on a regular basis, offering to help with the Sourcebook by
typing in or scanning documents. I will add any medieval document to the
Medieval Sourcebook, but I do have some specific desiderata (desired things) for their and for other parts of the Internet History Sourcebooks Project.
The list that follows is composed of the chief texts that I would like to see added -
texts which are often used in teaching. These are all out of copyright as far as I know. I
have included publication information for each item. The texts must be out of copyright in
the United States. If you are willing to take on preparation of one of these texts, and
have access to it, contact me at ihsp@forham.edu.

NOTE
A number of people also contact me about the well known poem Desiderata - "Go placidly amid the
noise and haste,/And remember what peace there may be in silence." I do not have the
text here and I note it is a 20th century text written in 1927 by Max Ehrmann (1872-1945).

The Internet History Sourcebooks Project is located at the History Department of Fordham University, New York. The Internet
Medieval Sourcebook, and other medieval components of the project, are located at
the Fordham University Center
for Medieval Studies.The IHSP recognizes the contribution of Fordham University, the
Fordham University History Department, and the Fordham Center for Medieval Studies in
providing web space and server support for the project. The IHSP is a project independent of Fordham University. Although the IHSP seeks to follow all applicable copyright law, Fordham University is not
the institutional owner, and is not liable as the result of any legal action.
