Internet History Sourcebooks Project

Honor Roll


The Internet History Sourcebooks Project comprises the three main chronologically ordered websites - on Ancient, Medieval and Modern History - and, in addition, a number of subsidiary themed pages. The Project seeks present original source texts in a context that lends itself to educational use. As a result, it has become one of t the most widely used historical text resource on the Internet - the Medieval Sourcebook alone is used as an online textbook in over seventy college courses. A number of people have contributed to this project, and they are list below.
  • Contributing Editors are those people who who have sought out, selected, and transferred to etext a variety of sources, and have made important suggestions towards the development of the Project.
  • Contributors  have donated individual texts or translations in a specific area.

The Internet History Sourcebooks Project is located at the History Department of  Fordham University, New York. The Internet Medieval Sourcebook, and other medieval components of the project, are located at the Fordham University Center for Medieval Studies.The IHSP recognizes the contribution of Fordham University, the Fordham University History Department, and the Fordham Center for Medieval Studies in providing web space and server support for the project. The IHSP is a project independent of Fordham University.  Although the IHSP seeks to follow all applicable copyright law, Fordham University is not the institutional owner, and is not liable as the result of any legal action.
